Brogent Technologies and Vekoma Rides Manufacturing are proud to present the I-Ride Panoramic Flight Simulator Attraction for amusement parks and shopping malls, the first significant innovation in simulator technology in many years. I-Ride is a flight simulator composed of a spherical screen, projection system and nine moveable platform units for a total of 72 passengers.
Panoramic Flight Simulation
The motion platform of I-Ride system is based on units of a proven system, which were built many times since 1995 as flight, tank and train simulators. The sophisticated motion platform provides six Degree of Freedom. This means that the simulator can be moved in the six ways: Heave, Sway, Surge, Pitch, Roll and Yaw.
The flight experience can be enhanced with 4D effects such as wind, mist, bass sound and flash light. For riders, the I-Ride offers the most exhilarating and breath-taking bird’s eye view of flight they’ll ever experience.
I-Ride’s seating is designed as separated module, each module seats 8 passengers and accommodates a total of 72 passengers with 9 modules. Operator may control each module separately depending on the number of passengers. Above the seats are canopies serving as mounting base for 4D effects as well as protection to ensure the privacy of the guests regarding unwanted visual contact to seat rows mounted higher or lower in the structure.
After entering the theater, each patron will be seated in a comfortable seat equipped with over-the-shoulder restraints or lap belts. Once secure and the house lights dim, the seating module will push forward to the operating position suspended above the wrap-around screen, affording all passengers an unrestricted view of the screen and unparalleled riding sensation. Now the film starts simultaneously with the simulated movement of the passengers. There will be accelerations with maximum 300 mm travel in three directions, pitch, roll and yaw rotation with ±15°. All this movement will be controlled by analogue or digital signals coming from the control system synchronized with film.
